The Grayson Symphonic Band, also known as "Advanced Band", is the second of four concert ensembles at Grayson High School.  Membership is open to students in 9th-12th grade and is determined through an audition process that takes place in December each year. Students obtaining some of the highest scores on their instrument at the conclusion of that audition process will be sorted into the Symphonic Band based on the instrumentation needs of the ensemble for the next academic year.  Students in this ensemble will have very high expectations placed upon them, face rigorous course work, and perform some of the highest caliber wind band literature for bands today. Students in this ensemble will perform literature from the GMEA Level 4 and 5 list to assist them in the development of their skills.
